This barn venue lends itself so well to so many styles. This barn venue has that edgy vibe, it dosen’t mean that every aspect of the wedding has to be totally modern and unusual.

Lately I had chance to be part of a shoot with the most fabulous suppliers.  The venue was an old barn, it had been lovingly restored and all its brickwork and windows had painstakingly been renovated.

Now from the outside it looked a run of the mill barn conversion with a courtyard, but on the inside it had a very modern vibe. Why did it feel modern?, well it had concrete floors and plain brick walls. It was literally a blank canvas. This could go many different ways depending on your style and personality.

We played around with a couple of designs and mood boards. The first was a totally white and minimal, using orchids, rose and pampas grass. Although we all loved this design it did feel a little cold. Then we played around with soft pastel colours colours making it a dreamy romantic feel, it was also really beautiful but not what we as a team thought was the best fit.

Finally with Lockdown the shoot was moved to autumn. We decided to do a more warm, Moroccan, boho feel. I think this worked really well. We used rich orange and red tones with touches of blue.

Big lanterns and patterned table clothes really bought the look together with lots of lovely candles. We also made each area its own. The cake wasn’t just a cake it had lots of styling and design, along with the welcome sign of seating plan. It’s all the little details that really bring the whole look together.

Just remember things you probably won’t notice every detail on the day but your guests will. Also the photographer will also pick up all these lovely details, it will really complete the photo album and bring the whole day together.

So Industrial wedding venues and spaces don’t just have to be a big modern and bold. You can soften it up with your own style and personality.

Just remember when it comes to weddings, anything goes and anything is possible.

If you are planning your wedding and love our style, then get in touch to discuss options.
